Limits and support
One image, up to 10 MiB, 12 million pixels, and 8192 px per side. Dimensions are preserved, with orientation applied. Animated images and SVG are not supported. Available memory varies by device.
Questions
Will the image always get smaller?
No. Already optimized images and PNG output can be larger. The result shows the actual size difference. PNG has no quality setting.
What happens to transparency?
PNG and WebP output can retain transparency. JPEG output uses a white background. Re-encoding may remove metadata and change color rendering.
