QR Code Generator

Create a static QR code from text or a URL, preview it locally and download PNG or SVG.

Files and text are processed locally in your browser, without uploads or an account.

Download your result before leaving or changing language. Use Reset to clear the current input and result.

Input

Higher error correction makes the QR code more tolerant of damage or obstruction, but usually makes the pattern denser.

Ready for input.

How to use

  1. Enter text or a URL. The preview updates automatically.
  2. Choose a size and error correction level: L, M, Q or H.
  3. Download PNG or SVG and scan the exported code before sharing.

Limits and support

Up to 1,000 UTF-8 bytes. Output size: 128–2048 px, large enough for the encoded modules and quiet zone. Higher error correction or longer text may require a larger size. Static codes only: no destination editing, tracking or scan analytics.

Questions

Are URLs opened or sent to a server?

No. The exact text is encoded locally, including line breaks, Chinese and emoji. Enter a full URL such as https://example.com when you want a web link.

What does error correction change?

L, M, Q and H provide increasing redundancy. Higher levels make the code denser. Leave the white border intact and test scanning at its intended display or print size.

Can I encode JSON?

Yes, within the byte limit. Use JSON Formatter to inspect or minify a short JSON payload first. QR codes expose their text to anyone who scans them; no account is required to generate one.
