Video Frame Extractor

Choose a video, pick a moment and save a still image. Extract a small sequence as a ZIP.

Files and text are processed locally in your browser, without uploads or an account.

Experimental

Cancel clears the current video and results. Download before leaving or changing language.

Input

Browser seeking is approximate. Decoded media time is shown only when available.

Extract batch

Ready for input.

How to use

  1. Choose one local MP4, WebM or MOV and check the preview.
  2. Set a position in seconds, choose PNG or JPEG, then extract a frame.
  3. For a batch, set start, end and sampling interval. Check the count before starting, then download the ZIP.

Limits and support

Experimental ceilings: 100 MiB input; 10 minutes; 12 million decoded source pixels; 12 frames per batch; 1920 px longest output edge; 30 MiB combined images and at most 30 MiB ZIP. Metadata: 10 s; single job: 10 s; batch: 60 s; seek: 5 s. MP4/WebM/MOV containers still require browser codec support. Seeking is approximate. Available device memory varies.

Questions

Are these frame-exact screenshots?

No. The browser seeks approximately. The result shows your requested time and a decoded media time when a video frame callback supplies one. The video currentTime value alone is not a frame timestamp.

What happens on cancel or leaving?

Cancel, Reset and navigation clear this page’s media and results and release its Blob URLs and active archive worker. Choose your video again to retry. This does not guarantee secure memory erasure.

What does experimental mean?

The experimental label describes a feature still being evaluated. If this site is published, these tool pages will be publicly accessible.
